Prostate cancer prevention - How to reduce your risk?

⭐️ Diet

Primarily plant based - load up on fruit and vegetables. They contain vitamins, minerals and fiber as well as various cancer-fighting phytochemicals like lycopene. Also include beans and legumes as well as other plant protein sources.

⠀⠀

High in fiber - aim on consuming 25 to 35g a day ⠀

Low in fat - aim for 20 percent of total calories from fat, with less than 10 percent of total calories from saturated fat.

⠀⠀

Limited in simple sugars - avoid sweets and refined foods. Choose low glycemic index foods as much as possible like sweet potatoes, legumes, bread made with stone ground flour, barley and bulgur.

⠀⠀

⭐️ Healthy weight and exercise

Men who maintain a healthy body weight and exercise may have a reduced risk of prostate cancer.
